Users conducting experiments at TARLA are responsible for organizing their own transportation and accommodation. They must ensure that a sufficient number of team members are present on-site throughout the experiment.

Arrival at TARLA
Upon your first arrival at TARLA, located within Ankara University’s Gölbaşı Campus, you should enter through the main TARLA gate. First-time users must check in at the front desk to complete registration. A photo will be taken at this stage for your facility access badge.
If you do not already have an access badge, the front desk staff will verify whether you have completed the necessary access requirements and will issue your card (Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00).
Upon arrival at the beamline, the beamline scientist will welcome you and provide the necessary instructions. If you have not yet completed your Beamline Safety Orientation (BSO) or if it has expired, you will be required to complete it before proceeding.
Before starting your experiment, make sure to activate your session permit through the User Portal.

Information on the TARLA facility layout and experimental areas is available through the User Portal. You may also request a printed map from the front desk.
Labs and Sample Preparation
Please consult with the beamline scientist in advance regarding any sample preparation needs specific to your experiment.
Food Options
On-Campus Options:
- Ankara University cafeterias
- Vending machines inside the facility
- Cafeterias located outside the campus
Food Delivery:
If you plan to order food, you must provide the TARLA main entrance address and your mobile phone number. Coordinate with the front desk to ensure successful delivery.
Parking
A limited number of free parking spots are available for TARLA users. Parking is generally free on weekdays after 5:00 PM and during weekends. Please check availability with the front desk.
Transportation
Taxi: You can take a taxi from Gölbaşı town center to TARLA. Taxi contact information is available at the front desk.
Public Transport: Bus services to Ankara University’s Gölbaşı Campus are available. For the latest schedule, consult the front desk.
Where to Stay
There are numerous hotel and guesthouse options in Gölbaşı and central Ankara. Users are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements.
Facility Amenities
- Wi-Fi: Wireless internet is available throughout the facility. Please contact the front desk for connection details.
- Printers: Shared printers are available in designated areas.
- User Lounges: Areas for resting between experimental shifts are provided.
- Coffee & Water: Complimentary tea, coffee, and water dispensers are available in common areas.
- Vending Machines: Snacks and beverages are available via vending machines.
